We are the Scottish charity for older people. We work to improve the lives of people over the age of 50 and promote their rights and interests.
We provide information, advice and friendship, support older people’s groups, promote age and dementia friendly workplaces and communities, deliver health and wellbeing programmes, and campaign on the issues that older people tell us are important.
Helpline
Our helpline is a free, confidential phone service for older people, their carers and families in Scotland.
Friendship
Age Scotland's friendship service advisers provide a listening ear on the end of the phone and can also connect you with groups and services in your local area.
Community Groups
We work with a vibrant network of community member groups and organisations who provide activities, services and support for older people across Scotland.
Dementia
We offer a range of services for people who want to increase their awareness of dementia and how to support people living with it, understanding and realising your rights as a carer, and getting involved in shaping policy and campaigns.
Health & Wellbeing
We offer a wide range of information and advice guides, resources, and activities to help boost older people’s health and wellbeing, with a focus on simple and practical measures that older people can take to age better.
Older Ex-Armed Forces
If you have served one day or more with HM Armed Forces, as a Regular, Reservist, National Serviceman or Merchant Mariner, extra opportunities and support may be available to you in later life.
Workplace Training
We work with organisations and research partners to identify barriers to age inclusion and ways to make intergenerational workplaces, work.
