Leave a gift in your Will

Gifts in Wills homepage

A gift for generations

Each year, over half of our donated income comes from generous individuals who kindly leave a gift to Age Scotland in their Will. This is known as a legacy.

Legacies directly support our work, helping Age Scotland to improve the lives of all people over the age of 50 in Scotland.

Our free helpline, support for older people’s groups, promotion of age-friendly and dementia-friendly communities, delivery of wellbeing programmes, and campaigns on behalf of older people are all supported by gifts left to us in Wills. Everything we do contributes towards positive long-term outcomes for older people across Scotland.

We are a lifeline for older people in Scotland and demand for our services is rising.

Morna Hunter, Helpline Manager

Why leave a legacy?

With a predicted growth in Scotland’s ageing population, demand for our services will continue to grow. At Age Scotland, we want to continue providing a lifeline for older people for many more generations to come. Legacies are essential in enabling us to plan for the future.

Your legacy can help us tackle loneliness and isolation through services like our Friendship Line and our work with local community groups that bring older people together. Your support could also help us provide more health and wellbeing programmes or deliver extra training to support those living with dementia and their families.

Every gift, no matter the size, is spent delivering essential services in Scotland.
