Scotland's workforce is ageing, but many organisations aren’t ready for the shift

A third of Scotland's workforce is over 50, and the number of employees aged 65+ has doubled in the last decade. Yet only 4 in 10 employers are open to hiring people aged 50-64. With ageism still widespread and retirement plans rarely discussed, organisations risk losing valuable skills and knowledge.

We can help organisations adapt

Through our research with over 20 diverse organisations in an extensive consultancy programme, we have identified the common key priority areas for promoting age inclusion in the workplace. These insights have shaped our training offering, enabling employers to improve age inclusion, boost retention, enhance productivity among older workers, and support intergenerational workplaces.

With over 17,000 individuals trained across 270 organisations and 98% recommending our work, we help businesses retain older employees, facilitate knowledge transfer, and cultivate a more inclusive culture.
