We have a vibrant network of member community groups across Scotland, offering a wide range of activities, social events and regular catch ups for older people. These groups bring older people together, strengthen community connections and create new friendships.
Our Community Development work
We support and enable the development of strong and vibrant older people's groups and organisations in Scotland.
Membership
Our members make up a fantastic network of groups, organisations and individuals across the country. By joining Age Scotland you will become part of a movement that is dedicated to making Scotland the best place in the world to grow older.
Awards
Our awards recognise the hard work and dedication of individuals, groups and organisations who make a positive difference to the lives of older people in communities across the country.
Resources
We produce information guides on topics that are important to older people’s groups and organisations, such as wellbeing in later life and more.
Our history
We became Age Scotland in 2009 following the merger of Age Concern Scotland and Help the Aged. But our history dates back to 1943 when our predecessor charity, the Scottish Old People’s welfare Committee, was set up.
Ambassadors
Our Ambassadors are older people who volunteer their time to support our charity’s work in communities across the country.
