Unforgotten Forces Regional Forums

Our forums bring paid staff and volunteers with organisations that support older members of the ex-Armed Forces community, or that offer services that they might access, together.  In the forums they can make connections, share information and explore ways to address shared issues and concern.  There are forums for the west of Scotland, east of Scotland, north of Scotland, and north east of Scotland.  These meet every 3 months for 90 minutes, with opportunities to attend in-person (Glasgow, Edinburgh, Inverness and Aberdeen) or online.  Unforgotten Forces partner charities are well represented on the forums.  Staff and volunteers from organisations that are not Unforgotten Forces members are also very welcome to attend.

Does past military service matter for later life? webinar

We offer a one-hour webinar for paid staff and volunteers in services and groups that support older people, and/or ex-Armed Forces men and women. It will be particularly relevant to those who are new to working in support of the older ex-Armed Forces community.  The webinar offers insight into the lives and needs of older people who have served in the military, highlights additional support available to them, and clarifies for participants which older people can access that support.  The webinar is hosted on Microsoft Teams. Currently, we have no scheduled webinars, keep your eyes peeled for details on our next webinar by signing up to our latest emails: veteransproject@agescotland.org.uk
