Dementia Awareness - Wednesday 22nd January
Do you work or volunteer with a community group or service that supports older people? Are you someone who has a personal interest in dementia? Our free training can boost your ability to include and support people living with dementia.
The number of people affected by dementia in Scotland is expected to rise by 50 percent in the next two decades to 120,000. Our interactive training looks at how understand the signs and symptoms of dementia, how to communicate with people living with dementia, how best to include and support them and how to reduce the risks of developing dementia. Training is free. Sessions are limited to 16 participants. Organisations may send more than one participant: these must be registered separately and if there is excess demand a cap of two participants per organisation may be applied. If you would like to organise a video conference session for your whole group at a different time, please email dementiatraining@agescotland.org.uk
The session will take place via video conference and the joining instructions will be sent to you in advance of the session.
This course is the perfect starting point for anyone who is new to our Dementia training courses.
