Our work and team
There is a growing understanding across Scottish society that dementia is everybody’s business. Over time more people will be affected by dementia, and there is a need for a response to better meet the needs of people affected by dementia and to ensure they are included in society.
Our Dementia Training Project has been an important part of building this shared understanding. It has developed as a centre for delivering expertise and best practice knowledge about dementia and its impact to a wide range of audiences.
We raise awareness of dementia through our broad range of workshops for individuals, community groups and workplaces. Alongside our open online workshop offering, we deliver workshops to community groups in person and digitally. We regularly run workshops for unpaid carers of people living with dementia, working in partnership with carer organisations.
