Accident Claim Service

Age Scotland, in partnership with Solicitors for Older People Scotland (SOPS), offers a free Accident Claim Helpline which seeks to give older people in Scotland a fairer service when it comes to making a personal injury claim.

The most important benefits of this new service to older people are:

• Their claim will be handled by regulated, specialist personal injury solicitors
• They will keep 100% of any compensation that is awarded to them

When we became aware that many of the accident claim helplines and other personal injury practitioners take as much as 30% of an individual's compensation in the event of a successful claim, we felt that older people in Scotland needed an alternative.

Anyone who isn't sure about where they stand, or whether they have a case, can phone the Accident Claim Helpline for free without any pressure to find out their rights.

If you choose to use another service that's fine. We want to make sure older people are aware of their rights and for 100% of any successful compensation claim to go to them.
