We have partnered with Bequeathed to offer an accessible free Will writing service where our supporters can make their Will for free from the comfort of their own home.

The service is quick and easy and allows you to create your Will online or over the telephone with the reassurance it’s been checked by a Scottish legal firm.

While there is no obligation to leave a gift, by remembering Age Scotland in your Will, you can help us continue supporting older people for generations to come. This includes tackling loneliness and isolation through services like our Friendship Line, and our work with local community groups that bring older people together. Your support could also ensure the voices of older people are heard when it comes to the decisions that affect them.

Write your Will in 4 easy steps

1. Draft your Will online in as little as 20 minutes.
   The questions Bequeathed ask help you to gather all the information required to create your Will. There is help and support available online should you need it.
   Alternatively, should you need assistance completing the forms, Bequeathed offer a telephone service for our supporters to help you complete your questionnaire over the phone or by videocall. Please call our helpline on 0800 12 44 222 to arrange an appointment to complete your questionnaire. 
2. Have a 30-minute telephone or video appointment with a legal firm.
   Once you’ve completed the questionnaire, an accredited Scottish legal firm will arrange a 30-minute video call, telephone or face-to-face appointment to discuss your situation, your wishes and confirm that the Will that you are creating caters for your wants and needs.
3. Receive your free Will in the post, sign it and have it witnessed.
   After your appointment, the legal firm will send you your free Will. Just sign it in front of witnesses and return to the firm.
4. The legal firm will check it has been executed correctly.

The free Will writing service covers basic Wills. If your Will is more complex, the Bequeathed team will use your responses to identify areas where additional legal work may be required. They will only recommend extra services when necessary to protect the people and causes you care about. Should you choose to proceed, they’ll provide an estimate for the additional work, and you’ll still save money by only paying for services beyond the free Will. There is no additional charge to include a gift to Age Scotland in your Will.
