Dementia and the Home Environment for Unpaid Carers - 2nd April

Woman having coffee_Advantage 2022

A short workshop to gain a greater understanding of how the home can be made more dementia friendly for people living with dementia.

“61% of people living with dementia aged over 65 live in their own homes” according to Alzheimer’s Research UK.  In this short workshop we will explore the benefits and some of the challenges for people living in their own how and what may help someone live well in their own home.

This training is free. Sessions are limited to 16 participants. Organisations may send more than one participant: these must be registered separately and if there is excess demand, a cap of two participants per organisation may be applied. If you would like to organise a video conference session for your whole group at a different time, please email dementiatraining@agescotland.org.uk

The session will take place via video conference and the joining instructions will be sent to you in advance of the session.

If you have not previously attended one of our dementia courses, we recommend first undertaking one of the 'Dementia Awareness' workshops we run (either 2 or 3 hours), as this is a great introduction to the topic.

This workshop is for unpaid carers of people living with dementia, such as family and friends of someone living with dementia.
