Age Scotland's 13th shop opens in Falkirk
Pipe marches and balloons heralded the opening of Age Scotland's new charity shop on Falkirk High Street this morning.
And, if first indications are anything to go by, it looks like being a success story, with £85 being taken in the first half hour.
Retail Manager Jason Elder says: "I am expecting this new shop to perform well on the basis of past experience in Falkirk with another charity. Now for our 14th shop and we have a property in mind in Glasgow's west end that fits the bill, so watch this space."
Rosie Berridge from Age Scotland's finance department was on hand to ensure that recent training of manager Brian and his staff had paid dividends and Communication and Campaigns Manager Lindsay Scott recorded the occasion for posterity.
In the process he continued his proud tradition of being the first customer in new Age Scotland shops, having bought CDs at the opening of Stirling, Nicolson Street in Edinburgh and now Falkirk.Tweet
