Age Scotland Enterprises team celebrates award
Hard-working staff at Age Scotland Enterprises (ASE) have earned a well-deserved accolade from Edinburgh City Council.
The team was highly commended in the city's 2011 ‘Get Up and Go' awards for its products and services that make a difference to older people living in the Scottish capital. A framed award is now proudly displayed at the ASE office.
‘Get Up and Go' is an annual activities and opportunities programme aimed at over-50s and sponsored by the Edinburgh Chamber of Commerce.
Age Scotland Enterprises manager Logan Steel said: "We are over the moon at being acknowledged as delivering products and services that really make a difference.
"This commendation, coupled with our recent positive mystery shopping results, confirms that the service we're delivering is hitting the spot."
Supervisor Lynn Fraser added: "Working hard as a team is definitely the key to success and we are all very proud to receive this award.
"The best thing is you are not only helping people who are being marginalised in some parts of the insurance market, but all commissions are gift-aided back to the charity to help the community as a whole."
