Friends with dementia gain ‘invaluable’ peer-support through Age Scotland's groups
Two friends with dementia say the peer-support they gain through attending our groups is ‘invaluable’.
Willy Gilder and Mike Cheung met at our Coffee and Blether group, which aims to bring people living with dementia together and is run by About Dementia, Age Scotland’s policy forum for dementia.
The pair, who both live in the Edinburgh area, have formed a close friendship through their involvement in these meet-ups, initially held online.
Willy and Mike shared the impact taking part in the meet-ups had on them, ahead of the first in-person Coffee and Blether event held in Age Scotland’s Edinburgh office.
