New £1 million funding for dementia friendly communities across Scotland

Applications are now open to organisations seeking funding to support dementia-friendly communities across Scotland.

The open fund is one strand of a larger investment, which will see Age Scotland working in partnership with the Scottish Government to distribute £1 million of funding between 2022 and 2023, to support the growth of Dementia Friendly Communities and Meeting Centres across Scotland. This funding is a recognition of the importance and vital contribution of grass-roots community-led responses to the pandemic. Age Scotland’s About Dementia project will be leading on the delivery of this work.
