New video project looks to support employees living with dementia

Invitation - Join a video project to encourage employers to better meet the needs of employees living with dementia
Age Scotland's Early Stage Dementia project is planning a series of short videos featuring people who are living with dementia.  The purpose of these videos will be to help employers understand changes they can make in the workplace that will help an employee who is living with dementia.
We would like to hear from people who have stopped working because of a dementia diagnosis, within the last few years, whose symptoms are mild to moderate, and who are willing to appear on film to promote better understanding of the condition.
We would like to arrange visits by people living with dementia to employers as close as possible to their home, and to workplaces that are broadly familiar to them from their working life.  Were you taking part, the host employer would show you around as if you are a new employee being introduced to the workplace.  We would ask you what aspects of the job you think you could manage, with or without support, and which aspects might prove difficult.  We would also ask you about your own experience of having early symptoms of dementia while in work.  
The video would be used in Age Scotland's early stage dementia awareness training for employers, and promoted via Age Scotland's digital channels.   This is an opportunity for people living with dementia to positively influence how employers respond if and when a worker is diagnosed with dementia.
